Wise Owls Childcare is a locally owned and run childcare business founded in 2000 by Tanya Galitzine. It has grown into an exceptional childcare service for children between the ages of 8 weeks and 13 years, offering OFTSED registered Day Nursery, Breakfast & After School Clubs and Holiday Clubs.

At Wise Owls Childcare, we believe that children learn best when they’re having fun, with engaging and stimulating activities offered in a safe, caring and encouraging environment. We nurture children’s individuality and prepare them with essential life skills such as sharing, problem-solving, socialising, the art of conversation and caring for others.

Our learning environments are warm, comfortable and age appropriate, and they are thoughtfully resourced to spark curiosity and stimulate imagination.

Learning through play

Learning through play is a powerful way for children to explore, experiment, and discover the world around them while having fun and developing important skills & qualities such as sharing, problem-solving, kindness, teamwork, socialising, the art of conversation and caring for others.

Our aim is to create moments of awe and wonder for each child. By igniting curiosity and establishing a solid foundation to enrich your child’s knowledge and skills, we aim to foster a passion that motivates them to be engaged, lifelong learners.

We believe that the positive impact outdoor learning has on a child’s understanding of and respect for the world around them is significant. With spacious outdoor play areas surrounding our nurseries, children get to explore the environment every day – come rain or shine.

Learning & Development

Our vision for Wise Owls children is that when they are ready to leave us and go on to school – they have grown into independent, resilient, imaginative, kind and empathetic individuals that have the confidence and curiosity to spread their wings and grow. Our curriculum outlines what we want children to learn in their time with Wise Owls Childcare. It shares our aims, intent and how all seven areas of learning are met in our every day planning and activities, with a particular focus on how we promote these through outdoor learning.

W.I.S.E Programme

Our WISE programme stands for Wise Owls Initiative to Sustain the Environment and reflects our commitment to cultivating a love for nature and sustainability. Through our green initiatives, we aim to provide enriching experiences that foster a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Through engaging outdoor activities and hands-on learning opportunities, we encourage children to explore, discover, and connect with their surroundings.

At Wise Owls Childcare, the safety, welfare, and protection of every child is our top priority. We believe children have the right to be completely safe and to be protected from both fear and harm. We are actively committed to protecting all children in our care. As an Ofsted regulated company, we comply with national child safeguarding procedures, and it is our duty to record and report to children services any concerns regarding the possible abuse of children in our care.
