Week 1: Summer of Discovery: Make, Play, Adventure!

23-24 July

We’re kicking off our summer holiday club with an exciting, fun-filled week designed especially for our younger children, packed with creativity, adventure and playful discovery. From hands-on favourites like junk modelling, cupcake decorating and fruit smoothie making, to outdoor fun with bikes, scooters and forest exploring, there’s something to spark every child’s imagination. Children will love our special highlights including picnic lunches at Oaken Grove Park, an in-house cinema experience with popcorn, a visit from a U-Sports coach, and a fantastic end-of-week disco full of party games and music. With a perfect balance of messy play, arts and crafts, group games and active outdoor fun, bikes & scoters every day, it’s a brilliant introduction to a summer full of smiles, friendship and new experiences.

On top of all that, children can bring along their bikes and scooters to make the most of our outdoor spaces, challenge friends at pool and table football competitions, and dive into everything from messy play and baking to team games and treasure hunts.

Thursday 23 July

A real highlight of the week! Children head off for a cinema trip followed by a picnic at Grenfell Park, enjoying popcorn and time to relax with friends outdoors. Before the trip, there’s time for treehouse play and a light snack to get everyone ready for the day ahead. Back at the setting, children enjoy a chilled afternoon choosing from a range of creative activities and games, followed by outdoor play, scooters, bikes and sports. The day finishes with music games and relaxed free play to round off a brilliant adventure.Shape

Friday 24 July

We finish our first week in style with a fun-filled mix of baking, creativity and celebration! Children start the day baking chocolate banana bread before moving into a range of creative activities and free play with friends. After a picnic lunch at Oaken Grove Park, the afternoon continues with bikes, scooters, outdoor games and sports activities. The day gets even more exciting with nail bar fun, Hama bead coaster making and creative stations, before the week ends with a lively in-house disco, party games and music to celebrate an amazing first week of summer!

Each day, Discovery children have the freedom to take part in a variety of sport and physical activities like basketball, football, skipping, bench ball, as well as enjoy a range of free-time activities including board games, colouring in, Lego competitions, group games, and a wide selection of arts and crafts materials to choose from and enjoy at their own leisure. We have a quiet chill out zone for those just wanting to read books or magazines, do some scrapbooking or make something out of the wide range of materials available. On top of all that, children can bring along their bikes and scooters to make the most of our outdoor spaces, challenge friends at pool and table football competitions, and dive into everything from messy play and baking to team games and the freedom to just be!

Please note:

All planned outings and park visits are subject to change in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as transport disruptions, weather conditions, or venue availability. In the unlikely event that we need to amend our plans, we will arrange a suitable alternative outing or activity to ensure the children continue to have a safe, enjoyable, and engaging experience. We will communicate any changes with parents as soon as possible.
