Each day is thoughtfully structured to balance engaging activities, social interactions, and quiet moments, all tailored to support your child’s development. From creative arts and sensory play to storytime and outdoor adventures, every experience is designed to inspire curiosity and foster new skills. With a focus on routine and care, meal and rest times ensure children feel secure and comfortable as they grow and learn.
Welcome and Breakfast
On arrival, children are served breakfast (a variety of cereal) until approximately 8:15am. Children wash their hands and serve themselves, fostering independence from the start.
Morning Exploration
After breakfast, children enjoy free play, choosing from sensory activities like play dough or cornflour, themed tuff trays, painting, role play, and reading. Mark-making tools are always available to develop fine motor skills. Storytime and action songs align with their interests. Nappies are routinely changed at 9:30am and as needed throughout the day.
Snack Time
Snack preparation starts at 9:50am with handwashing, followed by small group songs and stories until snack is served at 10am. Options include fruit, crackers, breadsticks, and milk or water.
Outdoor Learning & Play
At 10:30am, the garden door opens, allowing toddlers to free flow between indoor and outdoor activities.
Lunch Time
Lunch is at 11:30am. Children wash their hands, sit at tables, and are encouraged to self-serve meals with support.
Afternoon Learning and Play
After lunch, children who need rest settle on sleep mats, while others engage in quiet activities. Post-nap, free flow play resumes with fresh activities indoors and out.
Tea Time
At 3:30pm, children gather for group songs and stories before handwashing and tea. After tea, play continues, with staff supporting learning and development.
Toilet/Nappy Care
Nappies are checked and changed regularly, and potty training is enthusiastically supported, with children encouraged to use the toilet as appropriate.
