As a Childcare business, it is necessary for us to collect personal information about the children who attend as well as staff and parents/carers.

Safeguarding Policy

Wise Owls believe the safety, welfare, and protection of every child is essential. We believe children have the right to be completely safe, protected from both fear and harm; we are committed to protecting all the children in our care. As an Ofsted regulated company, we comply with the local child safeguarding procedures, and it is our duty to record and report to children services any concerns regarding the possible abuse of children in our care.

Allergy Policy

At Wise Owls Childcare, the health and safety of our children are our top priorities. We recognise that allergies can pose serious risks to children, and it is essential to create a safe environment for all. Our Allergy Policy outlines the procedures and guidelines we follow to manage and prevent allergic reactions within our nursery. This policy is designed to protect children with known allergies, educate staff and parents about allergy management. We are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for every child in our care.

Behaviour Management Policy

We are committed to providing a consistent approach to encouraging positive behaviour and mutual respect in the children. We promote an environment with clear and consistent boundaries, which are managed and reinforced through positive examples and a respectful, assertive but fair and caring approach. Complaints Process and Policy

Developing a close working relationship with parents is a major priority for Wise Owls Childcare and in order to achieve this we aim to establish clear lines of communication with children, parents and staff to enable any issues or complaints to be brought forward and dealt with promptly and professionally. It is important to us that we are given the opportunity to deal with your concerns or issues before you make them public. In most cases, there is a good reason why certain processes are followed, and we would like the opportunity to work with you to alleviate any concerns you may have.

Adverse Weather Policy

Wise Owls Childcare have an adverse weather policy in place to ensure we are prepared for adverse weather such as heavy snow/storms. In the event of disruption caused by adverse weather, the prime concern of the setting must always be the safety of the children, their families, and our staff. As a company we risk assess the safety of all before any decisions are made with Wise Owls operating its services. We will make every effort to stay open and to cause as little disruption as possible.
